Here's the spectrogram for this particular sound Sample.  Using graphs such as this
is how we determine the main frequencies and whether or not their effected by certain variables.

Notice the frequency bands present, they are quite obvious in the recording as well.

Here's the dB graph for this sample as well.  We use graph like this to compare the decibel levels for
this airplane with different variables effecting it.
 
 

All these things make up what we use to determine certain things about the nature of Airplane noise.
