Astronomy Summer Camp

      This summer camp is an introduction to Astronomy for grades 6th through 8th. Students will engage in hands-on activities and use computers to explore the fascinating world of Astronomy. Students will also participate in an in class Astronomy game show to test their new found knowledge. Subjects covered will include: Planets; night sky and constellations; spectroscopy, EM spectrum, and radio sky; safe telescopic solar observations; and the use of the scientific method. Students will see a different planetarium program every day. Camp will include an open house on Friday that will end with a planetarium show.

Activities and classes for students will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m

Enrollment is limited to 18, so please apply early.
